HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS FANS -- WE NEED YOUR HELP to keep league standings and playoff brackets right! We haven’t connected the scoreboards in high school gyms, on pool decks or on playing fields to the Internet (yet), so we need to get the information from the scoreboards to the Internet manually. Actually, it’s a fun job.
SCOREKEEPERS INPUT RESULTS for every contest, league and non-league, for all the teams in one league for one sport. It only takes a few minutes to input scores. That’s the easy part. Collecting scores, now that requires patience. AS A SCOREKEEPER, you will build a network of assistants who e-mail results. Parents, coaches or even players will be valuable conduits of information. Worst case, you check the sports section of your local morning newspaper. Your name and e-mail address will appear on the standings page, so you will probably get all the help you need. In case you have missed it, a standings page looks like this. TO BE A SCOREKEEPER, you need a computer, access to the Internet and a commitment to keep your standings accurate and current. Scores are input at a separate Web site. See how easy it is. Once you sign up, you will be assigned a unique User ID and Password for your sport and league. If you still have questions about scorekeeping, e-mail us. We'll do all that we can to make your job easier. SIGN-UP to become a scorekeeper. But remember, scorekeeping requires a commitment. Don’t volunteer if you can’t do the job. IF YOU CAN’T COMMIT TO SCOREKEEPING, you can still help. Whenever you know a score, e-mail the result to your friendly scorekeeper listed on each standings page.
